I have a strong passion for helping people with disabilities achieve their goals and lead a fulfilling life. This has always been my passion, as I have grown up with and helped care for my younger sister who has Down Syndrome. I graduated from CSI with my BSSW and Minor in Disability Studies. Currently, I am the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for Person Centered Care Services, and a part-time instructor for the Creative Exchange Program at CSI, where I teach Adult Living Skills to adults with disabilities. I have over 8 years of professional experience as a Direct Support Professional and Program Supervisor. During my time working in this field I have assisted with toileting, feeding, laundry, given meds, received AMAP and SCIP-R certifications, assisted with seizures and medical needs, and have received CPR and First Aid certifications. I have also developed and taught my own classes to people with developmental disabilities, such as yoga and art classes.
