About Jahnise

I have over five years of experience as an educator, including working as a science teacher in a charter school and as a Teacher Assistant in the Schenectady City School District. In these roles, I provided individualized support to students, implemented targeted interventions in math and reading, and advocated for students' learning needs by attending conferences and collaborating with families. I have experience creating lesson plans, progress reports, and hands-on learning activities, and I have helped students regulate emotions and build social-emotional skills. My background in both classroom instruction and one-on-one support equips me to provide personalized, effective tutoring that meets students where they are academically and socially.
