About Jade

As a little girl I'd play nurse, helping my mother and other loved ones in their medical recoveries. As I grew older their conditions became more complex, requiring special time and attention I was happy to supply. In June of 2024 my mother had her 3rd bowel obstruction surgery and the recovery didn't go as planned. When insurance-provided nurses couldn't handle her unique wound care, I took over, performing nightly 2+ hour procedures and prepping/administering TPN via IV. I'm proficient in colostomy management, IV nutrition, bed sore prevention/treatment, and diabetic care (e. g., glucose monitoring, insulin). This experience honed my skills in compassionate, precise medical care. Inspired by her situation, I obtained my caregiver certification to formalize and expand my abilities. Passionate about caregiving, it gives me purpose by making others feel valued and loved. I'm equipped with resilience, empathy, and technical expertise for professional roles.
