About Jade

Worked as a health aide for two years for an elderly man. Helped with exercises, spent time talking about his interests, made sure he ate and managed medication. He gave great advice. Always loved my time with him. Got him motivated to do exercises even when he just wanted to sleep. We met halfway and took breaks. I also worked with my sister for four years. She has a rare form of epilepsy. I drove her to work, helped in a medical emergencies, did activities with her that sparked her interest. I also drove an older woman for a year to see her husband in a nursing home because the drive was too far. We pick up food on the way too for him. I also took care of my late grandmother by taking her to museums and lunch during the early stages of her dementia to keep her brain activity active. It did help a lot. We also took pictures to scrapbook which helped her remember the activities. Very thankful I got to do that with her and how I got into being a health aide.
