About Jade

Hello! I've spent the past 10 years as a nanny, babysitter, and public school teacher. I received my degree in Early Childhood Development with a hands on science certificate as well as a certificate in ESL at the University of Texas at Austin. I currently am a 5th grade departmentalized Math/Science teacher in AISD. My care philosophy is surrounded by the principles of creativity, play, and confidence. I believe that play should be a learning and safe environment for children to explore their social-emotional growth. I am a native Texan and I grew up in North Texas coming to Austin in the summers, so I am very well-rounded on all the Kid-Friendly activities that help support movement and exploration! I enjoy planning and exploring the city with kids to help build imagination and excitement. In my free time, I enjoy being outside, traveling, and being active! I would love to support a family that values connections, experiences, and life long learning.
