About Jacquelyn

I am a certified teacher with 35 years of experience in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. I will tutor students needing to progress in reading and math K-2. I'd describe my personality as kind, patient and nurturing. I like tutoring because I enjoy teaching. I want to make a difference, and increase the confidence in children who want to improve in reading and math K-2. I started tutoring when I saw that there was a deficit in reading when I taught second grade in 2018. In my spare time, I like to exercise, and listen to spiritual music. I also enjoy FaceTiming, and going to see my grandchildren. One thing you should know about me is I get excited teaching kids. My skills include observing where children are, and their level(s) which comes with experience, differentiate to meet their needs, and use repetitive teaching skills until a child shows growth and progresses before moving on.
