About Jacqueline

I taught high school science for 14 years and middle school for a year. The subjects I taught were: physical science, Earth science, biology, AP biology, and AP environmental science. I have also tutored for the SAT. I have worked as an educator with child from kindergarten to 12th grade. I most enjoy working with students individually and connecting with them as individuals to help them achieve success in learning by finding out what interests them, how to they learn, and giving them the skills to access challenging topics. I have helped both struggling and high achieving student reach their learning goals. I have AVID training and know how to help students stay organized and focused. I believe learning should be fun. My approach is to be positive and encouraging. I find it most rewarding to help students unlock their potential. I have a masters in science and a bachelor's in liberal arts. So, I can aid students in improving their math and writing skills as well.
