About Jacqueline

I've spent over 15 years caring for and teaching children from infancy through adolescence, with a special focus on supporting kids with diverse needs. As a Paraprofessional in Special Education, I work directly with elementary students who are nonverbal, Deaf/hard of hearing, blind/low vision, and on the autism spectrum, providing 1:1 and small-group support aligned with their individual education plans. I'm CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certified in behavior support and de-escalation techniques, so I'm comfortable and confident helping children through big emotions or challenging behaviors in a calm, structured way. I also assist with toileting, personal care, and daily living skills, always with an emphasis on preserving a child's independence and dignity. I hold an Associate Teaching Certificate, 40+ units in Early Childhood Education, 9 units in Infant Care, and I'm Infant/Child/Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED certified
