About Jacob

I'd describe my personality as stoic, logical, and persistent. Tutoring is an outlet to share my passion for math for all individuals. I genuinely believe anyone can learn math, it's a matter of finding the right teaching methods. I'm searching for a job that allows me to encourage an interest in math and to assist students meet educational needs and goals. As a soft skill as a gymnastics coach of 9 years, I tutor my students in my free time, helping students from the age of 6-17 allowing me to become well versed in current educational standards. I am a total nerd. In my spare time, I like to hike, play video games. I will never give the solutions to any math problems but empower students in their own skills by guiding with a person centered thinking approach. I am patient and can break down complex mathematical concepts into bite size pieces at the appropriate level for any age or background. I can tutor any level from Elementary School math to Undergraduate courses.
