About Jacob

Hi! My name is Jacob, and I'm 20 years old, currently the Assistant Director at My Gym Virginia Beach. Being adopted has shaped my passion for putting kids first--I believe they aren't just our future, they're our now. I started working with kids in 6th grade at my church and have continued ever since. At Ocean Breeze, I worked in their lifeguard camp and became an instructor, helping kids grow their skills and confidence. After a year at Coastal Carolina studying Marine Biology, I realized my true passion was teaching and mentoring kids. Now at My Gym, I work with children ages 3 months to 10 years through classes, camps, and events. I work close to full-time but have open evenings and would love to fill that time. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, fishing, snowboarding, and riding my motorcycle.
