Some experience I have regarding those with special needs includes but is not limited too: being a volunteer counselor for kids with Spina Bifida (so I am comfortable with various medication, bathing, cognitive building, bathroom going regiments like cone enemas and things of that sort if needed!), I have two cousins (ages 38 & 23) on the Autism spectrum who I have spent a lot of time with and who are very different when it comes to who they are as people and their capabilities, and I have coached youth soccer (ages 11-15) which comes with highlighting the inclusion of those who differ in physical/mental/developmental strong and non strong suits. I am experienced in bed/chair/bathroom transfers and assistance, as well as assisting in various bathroom care and medication regiments, and doing cognitive and confidence building activities.
