Hello! My name is Jack W and I'm a recent college graduate looking for part-time work on Care.com. My mother is a teacher at a school for children with learning disabilities so I began interacting with younger kids on the spectrum at a young age. For the last 7 years, I've been working with a nonprofit performing arts company for kids and young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities- this is where I really found my passion for special needs care. Starting in 2020, I also landed an internship at Abilis Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to providing life services to adults with disabilities. I was in charge of providing fun, engaging activities for the clientele to keep spirits high during the most difficult months of quarantine!
