I work as a certified special education teacher and literacy intervention specialist at an elementary school in Niles. On a daily basis, I teach reading, writing, and math in both small group settings and one-to-one sessions. My teaching approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I utilize a variety of curriculums to support student learning. I take pride in my ability to build strong relationships with my students, tailor my instruction to their individual needs, and create engaging lessons based on their interests. Over the course of my seven years in teaching, I have worked with children ranging from ages 6 to 21 who have learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and social/emotional needs.
