About Jackie

I worked from 1976 until 1992 as a STNA & then went on to LPN program at Choffins Career Center in Youngstown, OH and graduated in 1993. I have worked in LTC, including dementia services units. I spent 6 years in home care with all age groups, seeing 6 to 8 patients a day, primarily performing injections, Pt/family education, and wound care was normally the main objective of the home visit. I have also spent 7 years commuting to Cleveland, OH area as a staff nurse, working in a variety of settings, including LTC, LTACH, and Med/Surg units through a professional staffing company. Recently, I was laid off. I became proficient in learning to read telemetry after completing Paramedic program and then applying that skill on UPMC 3MT unit at a hospital. I feel I have a strong, compassionate bedside manner with love for people and at times can be challenging with the ever changing face of Health Care but continually try to remember that the patient is first and they are first reason we do what we do.
