About Jacara

Hello, my name is Jhay. I have 3 years of hands-on experience working with young children in a therapeutic and babysitting setting, including those on the ASD spectrum and with behavioral challenges such as ADHD/ODD. I support children in building social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviors, and have worked with ages 1-13. I hold a psychology degree from TU, am drug/smoke free, and currently pursuing graduate school for behavior analysis. I am attentive, calm, and engaging, creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. I am comfortable managing challenging behaviors while helping children feel seen and supported. I enjoy incorporating creative play and learning based activities into daily routines. I value strong communication with families, provide consistent updates, and am reliable, detail oriented, and responsible. I'm happy to assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation.
