About Izzy

I like tutoring because I love helping others and I love learning. There have been times a student is struggling with a topic and it takes a lot of effort and many approaches to get there, but when it finally clicks, there's no better feeling. There's not a one-size-fits-all approach to learning and schools don't always have the resources to help individual students succeed. I like being able to bridge that gap for people. I started tutoring when one of my peers needed help with her math homework. I wasn't paid, but it was rewarding in so many other ways. Through high school, I tutored occasionally, but now that I have experience as both a camp counselor and a TA, I've found there's not much I enjoy more than teaching and helping others grow. In my spare time you can find me reading, writing, playing my guitar, or exercising. I have a lot of different hobbies and I'm always down to try something new!
