About Ivy

Nurturing children's learning and creativity is my passion. I am patient, creative, friendly, and approachable, and I am an enthusiastic cheerleader of every accomplishment. I communicate with parents using their preferred method, and I am very comfortable enforcing household rules. I enjoy playing board games, puzzles, and educational games. With my arts background, I can teach children to paint and draw, as well as knit and crochet! I have one year of experience caring for infants. I am comfortable caring for up to two children. I have a BA in Visual Art from UNCG. I speak English and some Spanish. I can help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I am aiming to pursue a Master's degree part-time in Library Sciences with a focus on Children's Lit. I would love to share my love of reading with your children, and inspire them to explore the library.
