My name is Ivy and I'm a graduate of the University of Washington's School of Public Health and I also have a Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine from Bastyr University. I have held multiple child care jobs including my role as a Child Care Counselor at the Boys & Girls Club in Seattle, as a nanny for 6 different families whose children's ages ranged from 2 months to 13 years of age and lots of babysitting for neighbors and family in the past and present. A little more about me - My approach to working with babies and children is lighthearted. I love to watch them learn as they go and plan activities that keep them healthy, moving, and away from screens as much as possible. I am passionate about any form of physical exercise, particularly yoga, weightlifting, and walking, photography, blogging, cooking and spending time outdoors.

Ivy is patient, kind and gentle with a calming demeanor. She has been caring for my baby boy since 2.5mo of age, and he is so delighted to see her everyday. She is incredibly present, not the kind of nanny who is playing with her smart phone or who has the TV on in the background. She is also flexible and helps out in a pinch to take my other kids to preschool and is a safe driver.
