Hi, I'm Ivan--a bilingual Spanish-English speaker with the NJ Seal of Biliteracy and over 20 years of real-world interpretation experience. I've translated in medical, educational, and community settings, helping families and professionals communicate clearly across cultures. I offer tutoring from beginner to advanced, focusing on conversational Spanish, grammar, and cultural fluency. My lessons adapt to each learner's goals, whether for travel, family connection, or professional growth. Patient and encouraging, I use role-play, conversation practice, and real-life scenarios to build confidence. As someone who grew up translating for Cuban relatives and later worked across healthcare, education, and interpretation, I know how to make language accessible and practical. I also speak conversational Portuguese and have studied Arabic and Gujarati.
