The reason why I love tutoring students is because I used to be a student that needed help. Many times I found myself disliking a subject because I didn't understand it, but I found that special teacher that really cared and took the time to explain things. Let me tell you, I graduated high school with a 3. 8 GPA, and my favorite classes were physics and math. Now I want to give back a little. I am currently teaching reading and writing to the second grade ELL cluster. My students present many challenges, but every year they amazed me with their success. I do believe that every child can succeed, but they need the right tools. Tutoring is a very serious job, because the lessons are specific to the child's needs. Therefore, getting to know the child's strengths and weaknesses are essential to me. Hope I can help your little one.
