Hello! My name is Iva. I am originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. I live in Berkeley with my daughter and have worked as a caretaker of both children and elderly for the past 16 years. Both my own granddaughter and the little girl I have looked after for the past 18 months have been 1mos-2yr old during the time of my care. I am respectful to all styles of parenting and focus on staying engaged with the child all-day long, provide lots of love and affection and make sure to engage them in games, imaginative play, books, etc. I make sure the kids have time to play outdoors and take every opportunity to socialize them with other littlest during the day. I am a good cook and prepare fresh healthy meals for the child and family during the day. Can also help with light housework. Apart from English, I am fluent in Bulgarian, Italian and know some Russian. I am flexible(prefer Mon -Fri, but could also consider weekend). I am open to taking on multiple kids in a nanny-share.

We have been so lucky to have our nanny Iva take care of our daughter for the past 18 months and want to make sure she finds another wonderful family to help and love, as our daughter starts preschool. Iva took on the care of our little girl when she was still very little (6 mos) and helped me go back to work and adjust to the new dynamic. I was always calm and confident that my little girl was in good hands and Iva did everything in her power to make sure our daughter was in the best care possible. We never sleep-trained so every single day Iva would take the time to put my daughter to sleep with rocking, songs, stories and just by staying by her side as long as it took -- just one example of her love and dedication to our family. She is loving, caring, attentive and looked after my little one as if it were her own. Not to mention that Iva is a phenomenal cook and helped our family with light household work and cooked fresh meals for my daughter every day! We love her!
