Hello my name is Israel I'm a video game addiction expert and willing to turn your childs Ipad / video game addiction into positive and academic development in their own creative fun way. I specialize with children who have special needs. I'm great with technology and can help with any computer related learning. My experience: I've been working with multiple families for 5 years and have previous experience working along side my mom as a Nanny growing up. I've been and still am being Mentored by a Woman who retired after 25 years of helping children with severe special needs. I've also worked in school and after school settings. I'd describe my personality as Fun, Caring, Patient, and Passionate In my spare time, I develop Video Games and My skills include Math, Computers, Science.
We hired Israel to tutor our 10-year-old son, who has severe autism, in a video game. While our son had previous experience with simple platformer games, he hadn't yet discovered the creative benefits of open-ended 3D sandbox games. I had previously attempted to teach him myself but found it challenging due to his attentional difficulties and struggles with mouse coordination. Although I understood the video games educational benefits and had played occasionally, I lacked both in-depth game knowledge and teaching experience. Israel was an ideal match for our needs. His background working with special needs clients, combined with his video game expertise, made him a natural fit. He truly occupies a unique and underserved niche, honestly a one-in-a-million find. His passion for both gaming and education shows clearly, particularly as he's currently developing his own educational software in his spare time. Israel's approach to instruction exceeded our expectations. He began by introducing our son to creative mode, showcasing the game's vast possibilities. Together, they've built a glass house for pigs, explored villages and caves, and even used explosives to expand a valley, transforming it into a water-filled canal. Each project opens up new learning opportunities. Israel leverages these in-game experiences to promote language development. Sessions are filled with rich conversation, and each lesson concludes with a debriefing where Israel and our son write down key events from their gaming session. This documentation process has proven incredibly valuable. We regularly hear our son using phrases and concepts from these discussions appropriately in other contexts days and weeks later. Our son genuinely looks forward to his sessions and gets visibly excited when Israel arrives for video game time. Israel possesses a rare combination of skills and talent, and we're thrilled to have him as part of our son's support team.
