I am a recent graduate from UMD, with a B. S. in Kinesiology and a minor in Human development. I have experience working with children with disabilities as young as 6 and as old as 19. Specifically, I volunteered through KEEN, a program that encourages one-on-one engagement in physical activity with individuals with disabilities. I have worked with children with ADHD, ASD, Down syndrome, intellectual disorder, and children with genetic disorders. I have taken multiple classes in school regarding both typical and atypical human development, and I have shadowed various Occupational therapists in pediatric school settings. I know how to set behavioral goals, how to be very situationally and individually aware of any triggers or signs of targeted behavior, and with my knowledge of Kinesiology, I can implement physical goals as well into my care with your kids. I am someone who wishes to continue to work with special needs children, and I hope to connect!
