My name is Bella and I recently graduated with a BS in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. I have had a lot of experience caring for those with special needs, including being a caretaker for a teenage girl with special needs for nine months, working as a residential counselor at a camp for people of all ages and support needs with autism for two years, volunteering with Special Olympics for five years, and assisting the special needs program at my high school. Through these experiences, I have recognized my ability to connect with each of the people I interact with. I have learned how to recognize how to best communicate with different individuals, as well as how to be patient and compassionate with everyone that I work with. I believe it is important to treat everyone with respect, no matter if they are "different".
