About Isabel

Hello! I'm Isabel, a compassionate and patient STEM and English tutor based in NYC. I spent the last semester tutoring with Liberty Partnerships Program in the Bronx, where I developed a passion for teaching and supporting young people learn and grow. I know firsthand how frustrating learning can be when the ideas aren't clicking. I've had my own journey, from needing to drop honors pre-calculus in high school, to learning how to really LEARN in college, and now applying to medical school this year. I currently work in medical research at AEC of Medicine, and I recently completed a post-bacc program in the pre-medical track at Fordham University (3. 5 GPA). There, I completed all of the prerequisites for medical school, such as chemistry, physics, biology, and biochemistry. For my undergrad, I attended Sarah Lawrence College (3. 8 GPA). During my junior year, I was accepted into the competitive study abroad program at Oxford University for the full academic year.
