About Isabel

Hello! My name is Isabel, and I am looking forward to working with you family! I have worked with children for the last 10 years, as a nanny, teacher, tutor and now creating kids books and doing research. I was a 2nd grade elementary teacher for the past two years as a Teach for America corps member. I worked at a local elementary school where my students all showed growth in reading, writing, math, and science. I have a Masters in Education from Lipscomb University. After leaving the classroom last summer, I have been working in children's book publishing and media. I am a marketing coordinator for independent publishers, and am able to stay on top of learning and interest trends with kids ages 0-18. I also build teacher and educational guides to go with some of our top titles, which I can use to help tutor students as well. Personally, I have the sweetest English Bulldog and love to spend time outside walking and biking, reading a great book or baking something sweet!
