About Isabel

I am a registered nurse with 17 months' experience in pediatric home nursing as well as one year of experience working with adults on a progressive cardiac telemetry unit. I also have five years' experience teaching piano and currently have 20 students between the ages of 3-18. I am trained as a Suzuki piano teacher, and value how this method emphasizes the capacity of every child to learn and grow in the right environment, as well as the importance of building character through connection. At home, my family provides foster and respite care to children. We've cared for children newborn through adolescence, including children with medical needs. I feel strongly about interacting with children through the lens of attachment, dignity, and mutual respect. I believe children are resilient and benefit from consistency, stability and calmness from caregivers to help them achieve and discover their own resiliency.
