About Isabel

Hello! My name is Isabel. I'm a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering from University of San Diego (GPA 3.97). I have been teaching people how to do math for almost as long as I can remember-from being in fifth grade, explaining our fractions homework to a friend after school, to being in my senior year of university, demonstrating derivations of heat transfer formulas in group study sessions. One of the most rewarding things I've known is helping people reach that moment where everything "clicks." These days, I am looking for opportunities to use my math expertise (and test-taking skills!) to help people with a subject that can sometimes be challenging or confusing. One thing you should know about me is that I am always respectful and patient when teaching. I also make it a point to understand where people are "at" in their understanding of the concepts, then work with them to build up from there. Learning math with me will be a team effort, and I believe that everyone can reach
