About Irma

Irma was our baby girl’s nanny from the time she was 3 months old until she was 10 months old. When we began our search for a nanny, we already knew our daughter would be attending daycare this fall, and my only regret is that her weekly time with Irma had to come to an end. As a new mom, I cannot say enough about how reassuring it was to have an experienced, loving, conscientious caregiver for my baby. We knew from the very start that Irma was the perfect fit for our family. She was incredibly patient as our daughter adjusted to having a caregiver other than her dad and me, and our daughter quickly grew to adore her. Irma has a wealth of knowledge that was invaluable to me as a first-time parent—she helped us purchase the best baby nail trimmer, begin solids, teach our daughter to nap independently, and keep our play area developmentally appropriate for a growing baby. She got our daughter signed up for music class, brought her to the library, and took her out on long walks complete with picnics by the lake when the weather was cool. Irma treated our baby girl like her own. Our daughter was always clean and well cared for when she was with Irma, and I have a whole album of adorable photos of her from their outings. Irma always followed our requests as parents, but we also trusted her implicitly to make decisions for our baby when she was under Irma’s care. We could not have asked for a better nanny, and we will continue to hire Irma as a babysitter to maintain the bond she built with our daughter.
