I recently graduated from college and I'm back in the city full time! I've internshipped as an assistant teacher for 2+ years at a charter school in Philadelphia; Worked as a daycare aid before college; I have cared for children between the ages of newborn to 15 years of age in a home setting; I come from a huge family and am always surrounded by kids! I have ample experience in tending to multiple children at a time and for long periods of time. I have such a passion for children and it would mean a lot to know that I could be making a positive impact on a family. I have child abuse clearances, references, and a detailed outline of experiences available upon request, plus multiple positive reviews. I completed many jobs through my work and I still keep in touch with many of those families! Rates vary and are flexible depending on the specific circumstance!

Iris was great with our 7 month old baby! She was always engaging him and was really mindful of helping him develop new developmentally appropriate skills. She also was a wizard at getting him to nap/sleep. She is also super nice and communicative! 

Iris jumped in for a couple days with my 8 month old and we were so happy she did. It was our son’s very first time being cared for by a non-family member so you can imagine he was upset, but Iris was a calm, soothing presence to help him through it. She was super helpful and very sweet with our little guy.

Iris watched our almost-2-year-old for a last minute emergency and was wonderful. Very professional and punctual, provided us with updates and pictures throughout the day, and was great with our daughter. Will definitely look to hire her again! 

Iris has been AMAZING with our two year old son. She is extremely polished, professional, and prompt. She has an incredibly calming presence and we trust her completely. I would hire her and again and again!

Iris has worked for our family since January, providing exceptional care for our infant twins (then 4 months old). She has been incredibly attentive to their needs, consistently engaging them in play, reading, singing, and providing a nurturing environment - all without relying on screens. When she arrives in the morning, both babies light up and squeak with joy. She has a calming demeanor, which is particularly valuable in the often chaotic environment of caring for multiples. Her ability to maintain a soothing atmosphere was a significant asset to our household, especially during the early infant months. 

As a working professional, Iris has exceptional communication skills, with timely and thorough responses that continued throughout her time with us. Given advance notice, Iris would accommodate schedule changes to the best of her ability, which made a HUGE difference in our ability to manage busy schedules. She has also offered to help find care coverage during her PTO days. 

The only reason we’re ending our time together is that *two* spots opened up at a local daycare at the same time - a rarity we’re not sure we’d get again if we deferred. 

We highly recommend Iris for her exceptional care, communication skills, and adaptability. Any family would be lucky to have her! 

Iris helped our family for a 6 week period of time initially,  then has helped since for random days as needed. She was easy to work with.  My boys (6, 3, and 2) were so comfortable around her. Iris kept them on our schedule for naps and meals. She would send updates throughout the day.  My boys would ask "Is Iris coming tomorrow?" because they enjoyed hanging out with her. She was prompt, reliable,  and genuinely cared for my boys. I highly recommend!

Iris did an amazing job watching our 2.5 month old while we had a date night in Philly. She was very kind, calm, and showed immense experience with newborns. We will absolutely use her again!

Iris was our Nanny (May-Sept M-F 8:30-4:30) to our 6m old until he started daycare. She was extremely attentive to him, his safety and his needs. She was incredible helping him hit milestones (hit early!) She was constantly reading, singing and working on milestones. She suggested great toys and learning tools at the appropriate times. She was always on-time, never called out (read that again!) and was very communicative. We highly recommend her! Reliable, friendly and caring! Just the best! 

Iris was knowledgeable and courteous. We felt completely comfortable leaving our twin infants with her. 

Iris was punctual and accommodating.  I asked her to meet my daughter prior to the scheduled date for sitting, so my daughter would feel comfortable.   On the scheduled sitting date, she made my daughter feel comfortable and cared for.   I would hire Iris again. 

Iris was incredible. She really came through for us in a pinch. She was professional, sweet and communicative. We would hire Iris again in an instant!! We are so grateful we were able to hire Iris with the amazing skills she possesses.

Iris was the first sitter I hired through this website and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. Prior to the interview, she sent me detailed information that honestly answered most of what I had planned to ask during the interview and included references. She was kind and attentive to my little ones from the moment she arrived and the next day my toddler was already asking when her new friend would be back to play :) Will definitely book her in the future

Iris is AMAZING. She was early. My son was happy and so am I. She read to him, played with him, and just gave him the overall best care. She kept in contact with me throughout the entire night and even sent pictures. I was late coming home and she stayed. I definitely will rehire her and recommend that the next person hires her. She sent me a very detailed resume and her references gave her outstanding reviews.

Iris was an awesome babysitter for our 2.5 year old daughter.  She had a positive energy and our daughter really responded well to her.  Would definitely hire her again!

Iris is very nice to work with and puts you at ease leaving your little one with her. We're first time parents with a first time babysitter and we were very glad to find Iris. Our dog really likes her too  (he is very picky!).

Hired Iris after my original scheduled sitter canceled last minute. Iris was extremely efficient in sending over her credentials and references, arrived on time and provided updates throughout the evening. This was my first time utilizing a sitter for my 18m old as I've had a bit of anxiety with letting him out of my site (1st time mommy woes) her professionalism put me at ease. Will most definitely hire Iris again for my next date night with hubby.

I hired her to care for my children for 3 hours and she never showed up. I sent her my address and everything. She never replied to my texts the day day before or the day of after sending her my address. She completely ignored me. I would not recommend for the simple fact that if someone hires you for care and you accept and then don't show up or completely ignore them that leaves them in a messed up situation. She's not reliable and lacks communication.

I urgently needed help with my daughter and Iris took the job which she did perfectly well for the 2 days. She was punctual and professional. My daughter also said "she's a nice person." I'll surely hire again whenever I need help and she's available.
