About Iris

I'd describe my personality as creative, curious, and determined. I like working with kids because there is so much joy and fulfillment that can come from connections with kids. Learning from their curiosities and encouraging their inquiries brings endless reminders about the wonders of the world. Although I started working with kids after I received my Girl Scout babysitting certificate over 10 years ago, the bulk of my experience is more recent. I spent two years leading environment clubs in elementary and preschools. In my spare time, I like to get outdoors! Hiking, long walks, and maybe a little basketball. When indoors I enjoy a board game, a book, a craft, or a movie. And the best days involve a little bit of each. One thing you should know about me is I have been working abroad for over two years and although I grew up locally, this is my first time back in the Sacramento area in a long time.
