About Irina

Irina has been with our family for three and a half years, since our son was two weeks old. We both have our own businesses and work from home – we were not able to take much time off from work, but we considered ourselves lucky to be able to work from home and have our son in the home with us during the day while we worked. Because we were there all day with Irina and our son, we really got to know Irina and now we love her as a part of our own family. The mom that recommended Irina to us told us she was a modern-day Mary Poppins, and she was right! The only reason we are not keeping Irina in our employment is that we are relocating, and as hard as we tried, we couldn’t convince her to move with us. We are very sad to have to let her go and it will be a very hard transition for us since she has been such an integral part of our family. Irina did an incredible job with our son through the newborn months. She taught him to play independently from an early age, did daily exercises with him, and administered vitamins and medicines when needed. She has a nursing background, so she is very comfortable with healthcare, aware and alert of potential medical issues, and is very precise and diligent with any sort of treatments that are being administered. She also helped support me as a working mom, being my support person for all things nursing and pumping. She made it as easy as it could be for me by bringing him to my desk for feedings and preparing and staging all of the pumping equipment for me, and cleaning all of the equipment after pumping. Irina spends hours playing with our son, takes him for walks and to the playground and park, teaches him letters, numbers, words, and how to handle his emotions. He adores her. She is extremely safety conscious and neat. She is kind, generous, honest, hardworking and reliable – she has never called in sick in the 3+ years that she has been with us. She goes above and beyond in everything she does for us. Somehow even with everything going on, she keeps his play area sspotless and organized - I’m not quite sure how she manages to do it all. Although we were in the home most of the day with Irina, I would trust her 100% to care for our son on her own, even for overnights or extended vacation. On top of being such a great caregiver, Irina is just an absolutely wonderful human being. We will miss her dearly and hope that she finds a family that loves her as much as we do.
