About Irina

After obtaining my Master's Degree in Secondary English Education, and spending the past year working full time as a long-term and daily substitute teacher in a Fairfield County public high school, I am fully prepared to meet the educational needs of students one-on-one in a tutoring setting. As a future teacher, pending certification late this year, I am passionate about helping students connect with their own ideas, and develop voice, clarity, and substance in their writing. My focus, in the English Language Arts discipline, is promoting critical thinking, especially as a means through which to deepen comprehension and facilitate a more holistic and tangible learning experience for the student.
