About Iria

All it takes for a student to reach their full potential is someone who believes they're capable of it. I bring patience and, honestly, stubbornness. I'll try a thousand different ways to explain something if that's what it takes to find the one that works for you. I have two years of experience tutoring History, Spanish (all levels), and Philosophy at the college level. Many of my students were student-athletes who found the material click when connecting difficult concepts to something they already understood, such as their sport. One student raised his grades from D's to B's over a semester through that approach. Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, I am native in both English and Spanish. I adapt my methods to each student's needs, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-world examples to make complex concepts manageable. I believe in open communication with families. I'm comfortable with pets, have reliable transportation, and look forward to helping your student thrive.
