I have been working with children in one avenue or another for over 30 years. I worked for Healthy Families as a parent-child interaction specialist, where I conducted developmental screenings for birth-3. I took a few years off to work on finishing my degree, and currently run an after school program in Noblesville. I am considering going back to being a nanny and am primarily interested in a family in need of full time care with interest in something long-term.

Irene has been my son's nanny for about nine months now. She is FABULOUS! She doesn't just "babysit" she teaches him important skills, letters, numbers, and encourages him to use more words vs pointing or just wining when he wants something. She is firm with rules and establishes structure, while still having lots of fun and playtime. They do things outside the home (library trips, walks to the park) and I know I can trust her with his safety. She never shy's away from a new challenge (we've introduced potty training). She read the book I suggested cover to cover so we were on the same page and did amazing with the extra laundry and hassle of dirty pants. Irene has a heart of gold and is very knowledgeable about children's cognitive development at different ages/stages. I feel confident my son is getting the teaching he needs to be prepared for schooling ahead and life skills. I am a single mom, and couldn't do it without her!! She's AMAZING!
