I care for my own 2. 5-year-old Australian Shepherd, a high-energy and intelligent breed that requires consistent physical activity, structure, and mental stimulation. My daily routine includes multiple walks, active play, and finding ways to keep him engaged so he doesn't get bored or destructive. I manage feeding schedules, maintain fresh water, and keep up with grooming basics like brushing (especially with heavy shedding), nail trims, and general cleanliness. I'm attentive to his behavior and energy levels, adjusting activity as needed to keep him balanced and well-behaved. I reinforce basic commands, work on consistency, and stay patient through the stubborn or overly energetic moments that come with the breed. Overall, I provide reliable, hands-on care that keeps her healthy, exercised, and as calm as an Australian Shepherd can realistically be.
