I am a retired teacher and I would describe my personality as patient, compassionate and kind. I like tutoring because I get to work with students one on one in a more relaxed environment. In my spare time, I like to garden, walk and play with my pets. I love to read and make art. One thing you should know about me is that I am trustworthy and believe in guarding people's privacy. My skills include assisting with organization and study skills. I prefer tutoring in Language Arts or anything that does not involve math. I have a graduate degree in Education/Special Education specializing in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders. I have taught art in all K-12 levels. I have also conducted group art therapy for children and adolescents and their parents in a psychiatric hospital.
