I hired India through care.com for a caregiver job for myself a couple of weeks ago , we communicated through the messaging portal and I described my needs. I am traveling from out of state to St. Louis for a surgery and needed a responsible caregiver to accompany me back to my hotel because I would have sedation. India expressed understanding of these needs and we agreed on a rate. She confirmed with me and we exchanged phone numbers. On the day of my surgery today, May 6, she did not answer any of my texts, phone calls or messages through the website and left me abandoned after surgery without care. I was forced to make other arrangements which were less than ideal. I’m very disappointed. I couldn't imagine doing that to someone without any communication.
