After discovering the potential to define work as animal care, no position could have drawn me the way pet-sitting did. I began the "gig life" tutoring, baby-sitting and pet sitting and this allowed me to focus on school while doing something I love - hanging out with animals. The pandemic influenced my decision to dedicate my time volunteering at my local animal shelter. Now in grad school, I hope to build a more regular schedule with a family to continue this work.
