About Imani

Hello, my name is Imani J. I am a mother to two beautiful boys ages 6 and 5 months old. I have been in childcare for 8 years. I started off at a private Catholic school, where I was an aftercare teacher. I moved up to an assistant teacher and the aftercare director. I worked with children starting at 2, all the way up to middle school. On holidays, or days when school was out, I would babysit children from my school to support working parents. I moved on to work at a trauma informed/therapeutic/ special education school and residence. I was responsible for ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. At the residence, I was responsible for getting the children ready in the morning, serving breakfast, & getting them out to the bus. In the evening, I ensured the children ate dinner, took showers, & were ready for bed. I have taken courses at the University of Arizona Global Campus for Early Childhood Education and I am CPR & First Aid Trained.
