About Imani

I hold a teaching certificate from a Center for Teaching and Learning at BU. I spent two wonderful years at Brown earning my MFA in Literary Arts and teaching poetry workshops to undergraduate students. I am passionate about helping young writers find their voices and gain confidence on the page. I believe that having a good understanding and command of language opens up a world of opportunities -- which is what I want each of my students to experience. Before teaching, I worked as a nanny, so I have a lot of experience working with kids of all ages. Whether you're working on a paper, a story, or just need a little help with editing, I'm here to support every step of the way!
