About Ilah

Hi all! Here is a bit about myself, my interests, and my professional background. For the past year and a half, I've worked as a paralegal at a family defense practice, supporting the rights of marginalized communities in the New York area. Prior to this year, I worked as a bilingual elementary teacher in Spain- an experience I absolutely loved! Childcare has always been a huge passion of mine. For over 10 years, I have worked almost every caretaking job under the sun. Some notable ones have included nannying for 2-month-old triplets, supporting a young girl with nonverbal cerebral palsy, tutoring a middle schooler with Down Syndrome, camp counseling for children with varying disabilities, and acting as a bilingual teacher for 7 full-sized classrooms of children ranging in age from 7-12. Some of my passions include art, reading, travel, and spending time in nature. I'm a dedicated, empathetic, patient caregiver and look forward to connecting with a new family soon!
