I am a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teaching Assistant with 4 years of experience working with children with autism, ADHD, speech delays, behavioral challenges, sensory integration disorders, and other special needs. I currently work in the Syosset School District as a Special Education Teaching Assistant, supporting children with their academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and daily living needs. My experience includes collecting ABC and frequency data, supporting individualized goals and basic self-help skills, adapting activities to meet each child's unique needs, and creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. I also collaborate closely with special education teachers, school psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. I understand that every child is unique and strive to provide patient, caring, and individualized support while helping children develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
