We were so lucky to have Hong work for us since fall 2013. She began taking care of our younger toddler and then over time, both of our children as they transitioned through to pre-school and elementary school. She has been very patient, kind, and loving with our children, and they love her. In addition to school pick-up (and sometimes drop-off), she took them to parks, the library, play dates and after-school activities. Many times she also brought them games and art supplies. Hong has also taken care of us as well- she did light housecleaning, dishes, laundry, and grocery shopping, and she's a fantastic cook. She was both dependable and flexible, which was key when we needed to ask to her to work extra hours when we work/family obligations. She has a great balance of both taking direction/feedback and initiative, over time really she knew us so well she could anticipate much of what we needed without even asking her. We are all terribly sad that she can't be part of our family any more, since we moved away! We would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a responsible, kind nanny/housekeeper to care for their family.
