I am a very experienced, patient, and responsible tutor/teacher. My tutoring strength is Chinese (I am a native Chinese speaker), English up to 5th grade, math up to calculus (including algebra, 1, 2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus), chemistry and physics (AP levels included), and AP statistics. I have also tutored tests prep (GED, ASVSB, ACT, SAT etc.). I have tutored/taught adults and kids from different cultures at different levels. I also taught kids with impaired vision and impaired hearing. I have done both online and in-person tutoring with great success in both. I have a passion for teaching and am very adaptive to different needs and styles. I love seeing my students improving after working with me. Emma has been the best tutor for my 8th grader daughter with ADHD. She has been tutor my daughter Algebra 1 since January via Teams when she failed her 1st test with 20s, and now my daughter's score is above 80. Emma has a great personality, and she has won my daughter's heart. She was able to pinpoint her weakness in algebra 1 and clarify concepts for her in various ways and design extra problems for her to solve. Most importantly, she truly cares about my kid's progress and communicates progress and plans after every session. She takes pride in her tutoring and so responsible that I feel she now knows more about my daughter's math progress than I am :-) I am so lucky to find Emma. and I totally recommend her to every parent in need of a math tutor.
