Experience: 10 yrs
Hi there! I'm Holly Tracey, a certified early childhood Montessori teacher, and newly-trained Newborn Care Specialist. I have 18 years of experience as a teacher and childcare provider, the past 4 as a professional nanny. I have worked with ages ranging from newborn to preteen. I have experience with allergies and special needs. I absolutely love children, especially forming special connections with them over time, and watching them learn and grow. I am often told that I have a very patient and calm personality, but I also love to be silly and have fun! Some of my favorite activities with children include outdoor play, open-ended art, baking, and science experiments. I find much fulfillment in caring for children's basic needs, and I would also love the opportunity to utilize my Montessori background to work with them on numbers, sounds, fine motor skills, etc. Though I don't have an exact date yet, I expect to be available for a new full-time position sometime in October.
It is a true pleasure to write this review in enthusiastic support of our nanny, Holly, who has been with our family since September 2024. In that time, she has become an absolutely indispensable part of our lives—someone we trust completely and value deeply. She cares for our three-year-old son, who is spirited, curious, and always on the move. From the start, she formed a strong and genuine bond with him—responding to his energy with patience, creativity, and calm. She has a deep understanding of child development and communicates with him in a way that is both respectful and attuned to his needs. Her calm and thoughtful way of guiding him through big feelings and meltdowns has been something I really appreciate, and I’ve picked up helpful ideas just from observing how she interacts with him. Holly brings a Montessori-aligned approach to caregiving—thoughtful, respectful, and purposeful. She prepares activities that are not only engaging but also challenge him in just the right ways. Her creativity keeps him constantly learning and exploring, whether at home or while traveling (which she handles with ease and enthusiasm). She consistently ensures that toys and materials are well-organized and age-appropriate, and she takes initiative in planning enriching activities for him. Beyond childcare, she is a steady and proactive presence in our home—keeping things running smoothly, anticipating needs, and supporting our household in countless ways. She is extremely reliable, an excellent communicator, and always willing to adapt when schedules or needs shift. In short, Holly is the kind of caregiver every parent hopes to find. Any family who has the opportunity to work with her will be incredibly fortunate. I recommend her without hesitation and with deep gratitude for the care and professionalism she has consistently shown.
