About Hilda

Hilda worked with our family as a part time nanny (full days MWF) for my daughter from when she was 2.5 months old to a little after she turned 2 years old. We had always planned to put my daughter in a daycare once she turned 2, so that is the reason we no longer employ Hilda. It was obvious from when I first interviewed Hilda how special she was and how passionate she was about her work. That same positive energy and passion persisted throughout the whole ~2 years we worked with her. Hilda kept great open communication with text updates or pictures throughout the day as well as chatting with me about how the day went at the end of each day. I always felt like we were on the same page. My daughter has a dairy allergy, which Hilda dealt with very well. In addition to my daughter being in good hands with regards to basic care, I feel like Hilda went above and beyond with the quality of her interactions and experiences with my daughter. With Hilda, my daughter was always going to have an adventure, whether it be imaginative play with stuffed animals at home, going to the park to meet up with a friend’s dog, playing at the library, going to My Gym classes, using finger-paints, or playing with bubbles and chalk in the backyard. I’m pretty sure Hilda read my daughter books every day, and it showed in how well my daughter knew the books they would routinely read together. I could tell in so many ways that Hilda genuinely cared about my daughter and thoroughly enjoyed her time with my daughter. In addition to all of that, Hilda was always very punctual and reliable and gave advance notice for any planned time off, which wasn’t very often. I am so grateful that my daughter had Hilda as her nanny and I highly recommend her.
