About Heyward

Hi! My name is Heyward, and I am a rising Senior at Sewanee: The University of the South. I am an Art History major and have a minor in Spanish. Along with this, I am currently on the Dean's List, a member of the Order of the Gown, and a member of the Phi Kappa Epsilon sorority. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have worked with children for many years. I first started babysitting in high school (I attended Lovett). Since then, I have had multiple jobs working with children. I was a Counselor at Camp Greystone in 2021. The next year, I taught art in Charleston at the Gibbes Museum. I've worked with children from ages 3-14. Beyond this, my family has two dogs, and I'm great with pets. I am outgoing, hard-working, and organized. I have also tutored previously, specifically for children with Spanish as their first language. I primarily taught English and History at the Agape center where I interned throughout high school.
