About Hermela

I am a certified nursing assistant with a bachelors degree in my gap year before continuing school! I am also a registered behavior technician who works with children with special needs in both clinical and respite care settings. From caring for my younger siblings and relatives to working at a daycare and volunteering at my Sunday School age 7-12, I've discovered my passion for helping kids learn and grow. As a fun, adventurous, engaging, and comforting caregiver with one year of experience at a daycare and 5 years of experience raising my nieces and nephews , I prioritize open communication with parents, whether through verbal updates at pickup, regular texts, or phone calls, depending on their preferred method. While I'm comfortable enforcing household rules, I like to create a nurturing and educational environment by spending time in nature, playing board games, and puzzles, as well as fostering learning and imagination into play.
