About Hemwattie

We were incredibly fortunate to have Hemwattie (we called her by her nickname Sharda) care for our mother during the final stage of her life. From day one, she was dependable, compassionate, and treated my mom with the same love, dignity, and respect she would have shown a member of her own family. She managed my mother's medications, prepared nutritious meals and snacks, and made sure all of her daily needs were met with patience and kindness. She would get her up every day (my mother was wheelchair bound for the most part) and would groom/bath her, change her clothes and diapers. Beyond caregiving, she kept the house clean, stayed on top of laundry and dishes, and created a calm, comfortable environment for our entire family during an incredibly difficult time. Her reliability and professionalism gave us tremendous peace of mind, but it was her genuine compassion that made the greatest difference. Sharda truly cared about my mother - she would text or call me with daily updates about my mother's status and would keep a detailed log of her meds, BP and HR, bathroom habits and status changes. I recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and truly exceptional caregiver. She was an incredible blessing to our family, and we will always be grateful for the excellent care she gave to our mother.
